Simply living with ease

A few days ago, I made one of the best apples pies in my life, to date. So much crust and crumbles! Pretty slim on apples but before it baked, it looked like apple mountain. The apples were purchased in Upstate NY, a whole basket of gala for 2.50! I can not get over the insanely good deals to be found!

Apples. Cinnamon. Brown Sugar. Cloves. Vanilla. I could just eat that alone! I found the recipe on Marthastewart.com and added a few twists!

I went upstate this weekend, even further than I normally go, GOD, I forgot how beautiful all of NY can be. The most amazing foliage I have seen in a very long time (thanks NYC). I read on the porch for hours and just stared at the same hilltop all day. It was the best time I had in awhile. It made me excited for the possibility of moving soon, just getting out of the city gets me motivated and my mind is racing with locations to visit before I decide upon one place. Nashville is first on my list to visit, then some New England town. I will worry about financials and oh yeah a job later, need to make moves! Onward 2012!
